The studio

Studio Khyal is a London-based film and photography studio built on one conviction: that the most powerful images are the ones that linger. Not the loudest frame, not the fastest cut. The one that stays with you on the walk home, and you remember snippets of from time to time.

We work with brands, artists, and cultural voices who have something genuine to say. Our work spans commercial film, music video, artistic representation and considered photography. Every project begins the same way, with a question about what is truly being expressed, and the patience to find the honest answer.

The approach

We move slowly. Not because we are precious, but because the best work lives in the moment just before you expect it. In held shots. The quieter details. The face before the performance begins.

We are not a content studio. We do not make things to be consumed and forgotten. We make things to be felt and thought about.

The person

Studio Khyal was founded by Pritam, a British man with Indian heritage, filmmaker and photographer based in London. His work is shaped by years of wandering through cities and landscapes with a camera and the quiet conviction that if you stop long enough, everything reveals itself. And that everything, are the moments we rarely notice or the culture we don’t pay attention to long enough to understand.

Studio Khyal began as the natural destination of someone who has always moved through the world this way. Slowly. Honestly. Looking. Camera in Hand.

We make work for people who want to be seen, not just photographed. Felt, not just filmed.
